CBPE raises over £60k through charity football match at Tottenham Hotspurs

In May, we took over the iconic Tottenham Hotspur Football Club Stadium for a charity football match in support of the brilliant team at The Institute of Cancer Research. We're delighted to share that the event raised over £60,000 to fund research into metastatic (secondary) breast cancer.

A huge thank you to all of our portfolio companies, advisors and friends who laced up their boots for the cause - it was an unforgettable afternoon of friendly competition, lots of laughs, and some unsurprisingly average football!

We were lucky to be coached by Spurs’ very own staff and to get a glimpse behind the scenes, from the tunnel walkout to the changing rooms. A once-in-a-lifetime experience for many and all in aid of a cause close to so many of our hearts.

This effort supports world-leading research led by Professor Vicky Sanz Moreno, focused on understanding how secondary breast cancer spreads and how we can better treat it.
